That’s a brief definition of love. From the definition above, love is characterized by a predominant sweetness. Anyone who has experienced love will agree. Love isn’t always sweet. Sometimes it’s painful, sad, and anxiety-inducing. These are natural emotions experienced by everyone who experiences love.

The Special One

I have someone who means a lot to me. This person has taught me many lessons indirectly. From how to manage emotions well, to what it means to fight for love, what mature love is, and many more. Sometimes his behavior hurts me. But I reflect on it. I try to think logically. Then, I aim to understand his situation and circumstances. She’s the eldest of three children. Of course, she’s the hope of his family.

From the moment I met her, her family has been very kind to me. They accepted me, flaws and all. This made me feel anxious and responsible for my partner. She sometimes worries about the future. She often frets over things that haven’t happened yet. I feel this is normal and I strive to understand.

I always strive to be the best support system for her, even if I’m sometimes annoying. I also never tire of trying to reassure her. Even though I sometimes feel tired, I never give up.

From her, I learned that true, true love isn’t about always giving and always being there for her. Rather, true, true love is about always striving for a better life together. Planning for a better future helps us meet our promises to our partners. The process isn’t easy, but that’s no reason to give up.

I will keep going to fulfill the expectations of my parents, my partner, and my partner’s parents. Yes, my shoulders feel heavy carrying it all.
