The moment I remembered my past lives as a four year old child in Malaysia.

A childhood flash of memories opened the door to soul journeys and the mystery of reincarnation.

I was about four years old, playing under the bright Malaysian sun, when something unusual happened. It wasn’t imagination in the way children pretend. It was more like a flash — a vivid knowing that I had lived before. The memory of previous lives didn’t belong to this little girl with flaxen hair and grazed knees. It belonged to the many people I had been.

That early glimpse planted a seed in me. For the first time, I wondered: is life bigger than what I see around me?

Why Past Life Memories Surface in Childhood

Children are naturally open and unfiltered. Their minds aren’t yet shaped by logic, scepticism, or society’s insistence on what’s “real.” That’s why many people report spontaneous past life memories surfacing at a young age.

Some describe being drawn to a particular country, language, or era they’ve never studied. Others recall names, details, or even skills they ‘shouldn’t’ know.

Science may debate it, but for those who experience it, the sense of recognition is undeniable.

The Value of Exploring Soul Memories

Even if you’ve never had a spontaneous memory, reflecting on possible past lives can offer surprising gifts:

  • Self-understanding — noticing patterns or fears that might trace back further than this lifetime.
  • Healing — releasing old wounds and carrying forward the wisdom instead.
  • Perspective — recognising that life is vast, and our soul journey continues beyond this chapter.

Your Turn

You don’t need to be a mystic or hypnotist to explore your soul memories. Gentle journaling, guided meditation, or simply paying attention to those moments of déjà vu can open the door.
