The story I am about to tell is still unfolding — only God knows its ending. It is the story of a student with a clear dream: to become a globally recognized Machine Learning Engineer.

The first step towards this dream was not easy. After secondary education, I attempted the national engineering entrance exam and cleared it, but my score was not enough to secure a seat on merit. I tried again the following year through the state-level entrance, but once again, my score fell short. At that point, I had to put aside my entrance attempts and chose a different path — I enrolled in a B.Sc. Mathematics program at the University of Calicut.

Now, in my final year, I can look back and see how that decision turned out to be a blessing. These years have honed my skills in mathematics and statistics, the true foundations of machine learning. I also gained exposure to C programming through my academics, which gave me my first taste of structured problem-solving.

At the beginning of my third year, I made a deliberate choice to bridge my mathematical foundation with the world of data and AI. I began learning Python for Data Analytics, alongside MS Excel/Spreadsheets and SQL. It has been about three months since I committed seriously to this path, and I’ve already completed a practice project that demonstrates my skills in data cleaning, analysis, and visualization.

Currently, I am pursuing a three-month internship in Data Analytics at Unified Mentor (September–November 2025), which is giving me valuable real-world exposure to working with data. Alongside my internship, I continue building projects for my portfolio, each one bringing me closer to my vision.

Today, I stand at the threshold of my career — skilled in the basics of Python, Excel, and SQL, equipped with academic rigor in mathematics and statistics, and gaining practical experience through my internship. My next milestone is to secure a remote, part-time data analyst role, which will serve as the launchpad towards my larger dream: to evolve into a Machine Learning Engineer recognized on the global stage.

This story is still being written, but every step I take brings me closer to the ending I envision.

There will be updates on my achievements throughout this path, and I wish to post them here so that they can inspire both me and my fellow aspirants.
