On fear, failure and disappointments | by Abba’s Shiloh | Aug, 2025

A thousand fears, failures, and disappointments later, I’m here — carefully held in His arms, looked after and cared for.
My confidence is in the Word of God and all His promises for me, not my circumstances, not the actions of people around me, not the expectations of others.
God is my plug, and He is a sure one.
It is okay to feel, because you are human, but the Word deserves more honour than our feelings. Let the Word have the final say — in fact, let it be the only say you agree with.
The truth is, God is with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. You just need to trust that His plans are good and that He has a good future in store for you, His beloved child.
You are not an afterthought. Before you were born, all your days were already set out and prepared for. You are simply living out a script that has been written, edited, and completed long ago.
Cheer up, dear child of God! You are a son, led by the Spirit of God. Your Father leads you in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Not for prestige or anything else, but for His name’s sake. This means His name is the one at stake.
This realization, for me, has been such a pillar and anchor. He is a responsible Father — the Good Shepherd. It is so beautiful to be loved by God and to know that He loves us.
Beloved, you were not created to worry but to rest completely in the finished work of Jesus. Everything will be fine. You are never alone.
Declare these words with me:
My life is beautiful.
God’s plans for me are perfect.
My soul rests completely in the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
I will be all God wants me to be.
All things are working for my good, for I love God and I am called according to His purpose.
The Lord is my shepherd; I have all I need.
Jesus loves me.
