My Bra Fitting Horror Story: Never Again | by ISeeWhy | Aug, 2025

Okay, hear me out. I went for a bra fitting, thinking it would be a quick, maybe slightly awkward, but ultimately helpful experience. I walked out feeling like I needed therapy. I mean, seriously, how is it that something as simple as finding the right bra size can turn into a complete and utter disaster? I thought these people were professionals!
First of all, the “fitting room” was basically a glorified closet. The lighting was harsh, the mirrors were unforgiving, and the whole vibe just screamed “insecurity.” Then there was the fitter. Don’t get me wrong, she seemed nice enough, but the whole process felt so impersonal. Like I was just another body to be measured and prodded.
The worst part? She kept making comments about my body! Things like, “Oh, you’re spilling over here,” or “Hmm, you could use some more support.” Thanks, I hadn’t noticed. 🙄 And the bras she brought me? They were either too big, too small, or just plain hideous. It was like she was actively trying to find the least flattering options possible. I ended up leaving empty-handed and feeling worse about myself than when I walked in. It was supposed to be a confidence boost, not a body shaming session.
So, what did I learn from this whole ordeal? A few things:
- Do your research: Find a reputable place with experienced fitters.
- Set boundaries: Don’t be afraid to speak up if you’re uncomfortable.
- Know your body: Trust your own instincts about what feels right.
- Online might be better?: Seriously considering finding my next bra online, I think I will feel more confortable doing that.
- It’s just a bra: Don’t let the experience define your self-worth. (Easier said than done, I know.) I’m still recovering from my bra fitting trauma. Maybe one day I’ll be brave enough to try again. But for now, I’m sticking to my comfy bralettes and avoiding fitting rooms like the plague. Have you ever had a bad bra fitting experience? Share your stories in the comments! Misery loves company, right?
