🎧 Music—My Escape, My Memory, My Mood | by Quiet Dreamer | Introvert Diary | Jun, 2025

I love music.
Earphones are almost always in my ears—like they’re part of me.
It’s my escape from the real world. My comfort zone.
So I get asked:
“What’s your favorite song?”
Honestly, one of the hardest questions.
I usually smile and say,
“There isn’t just one—I have an entire playlist.”
But if someone forced me to pick, I’d go with the latest addition.
Right now, that’s “Die With a Smile.”
And then there are songs I could loop forever —
“Taare Zameen Par,” “Jugraafiya,” “Butta Bomma,” “Scars To Your Beautiful,” “All OK, Happy,” “Khairiyat Pucho,” “Butter,” “Suzume,” “Love You Zindagi.”
(If I keep going, this becomes a playlist. 😅)
Language isn’t a barrier.
Even if I don’t know the words, I vibe first.
Later, I look up the meaning, and somehow I fall for the song even more.
I don’t stick to one genre.
It depends on how I feel that day: old, new, or trending.
When I’m low, I lean into songs that lift me.
And yes—I still listen to cartoon tracks.
“Aasman Ko Chukar Dekha,” “Jungle Jungle,” “Zindagi Savar Lo,” “Shooting Star,” “Let It Go,” “On Top of the World,” “Listen to the Beat of Your Heart,” etc.
Some might call that childish.
But I don’t mind—I still get that childhood feeling.
Now, with meaning, it lands deeper.
I remember Coco.
That song—“Remember Me.”
It got me. I cried. It stayed with me. ❤️
Music helps me connect with and remember people.
If a friend tells me their favorite song, I always think of them when I hear it again.
My mind works that way.
Like with “Rozana.”
It was my best friend’s favorite. She passed away three years ago. 😔
But when I hear it now, she’s there again.
The laughter. The small moments.
Some songs aren’t just songs.
They’re memories. ❤️
So today…
Let’s connect through music. 🎶
💬 Do you still vibe to cartoon songs like I do?
What’s your favorite song?
Or maybe the latest one you’ve added to your playlist?
If I haven’t heard it yet, I’d genuinely love to give it a listen—no matter the language.
Because in the end, when words fall short…
Music speaks. 💙🎧
Thanks for this lovely challenge.
